And that is just fine with her.
The senior won the race to give her four wins at the Jefferson County Relays at the Harding Track and earn high point honors.
Still, you could tell Furda was not satisfied with the afternoon.
"I feel like you can be happy, but you can never be satisfied," she said. "That's how I am. I'll be happy if I place in the state meet. I'll be completely satisfied then. But, until then ..."
Furda was a member of the 4x800 relay team (11:30.0) and won the 1600 (5:57.0), 800 (2:38.8) and 3200 (12:52.3).
"Today I was really happy because I got four first places and I've never done that before," she said. "But, I am disappointed with my times. I'm trying to take the bitter with the sweet. I've learned to handle it.
"The coaches kept saying, 'it's cold, it's cold.' But, no excuses."
Furda reached the state meet as sophomore in the 1600 and missed it a year ago. Her goal is to stand on the podium in Columbus, but will spend the season debating if the 800 or the 1600 will give her the best chance.
"I'll just have to check out the other girls times," she said. "I wish it was really evident to me, but it's not."
